Finance graduate turned Product Designer
Hi, I’m Mehdi. I started in finance, but over time I realized I wanted to work in a field where I could be creative while solving problems.
That shift began after completing my MSc in Finance, when I launched a gaming YouTube channel as something creative to work on. I spent years doing video editing, motion design and graphic design. But what kept pulling me back was the feedback loop, seeing what worked, adjusting, and trying again. That's what pointed me toward product design.
To pursue this path, I completed a UI/UX course and built a portfolio of personal projects focused on product thinking and user-centered design. I still enjoy finance and see myself thriving as a product designer there, but I'm also excited about other opportunities where design can drive real impact.
When I'm not at my desk, I'm at the gym, spending time with my family and dog, or losing track of time on a video game. I've always been into gaming, it's how I ended up starting a YouTube channel in the first place, so in a way it's what got me here.
